he Family Abuse Treatment Program focuses on alleviating the symptoms of sexual abuse and domestic violence. Therapists involved in this program have extensive experience working with the entire family in confronting these issues. Our support groups address mutual questions and concerns and allow family members to share experiences and connect with others who can relate to the situation. Services include individual, family, and group counseling.

Goals for treatment of children and adolescent victims of sexual and/or physical abuse:


•  Teach victim to protect him/herself from further abuse

•  Teach family members to be supportive throughout the treatment process


•   Reduce feelings of guilt, shame, depression or anxiety felt by the victim

•  Increase the victim’s self-esteem

•  Teach the victim to express feelings of anger, betrayal and disappointment in a healthy and productive manner
